  • Name: Tony
  • Interests: Angling, hunting, gathering, gardening, cooking, paddling, biking, climbing, hiking, charcuterie, traditional food preservation, fly tying, canoe paddle making, rod building, and other DIY projects, cheese, beer, wine, spirits, hobo stoves, sharp objects, hand tools, things that burn, learning new things, watching wildlife, helping fight uphill battles, and generally taking the hard way
  • Location: Colo-braska along the “Splatte” River
  • More about me: All this began for me hunting and fishing the Misi-ziibi and its surrounding hills, swamps, and tributaries.

As soon as I was old enough I followed the seasons: sucker fishing, walleye fishing, turkey hunting, catfishing, duck hunting, deer hunting, and ice fishing (among a few others).

I am always trying to learn more and expand my skills.  Some of my more recent focuses have been learning more about gathering, gardening, and food preservation.  I’ve also been focusing heavily on honing my fly tying and fly fishing skills.   I greatly enjoy learning how to do things “the hard way” and to do so well.
