Tony’s Lifelist

Below is the most current incarnation of my angling lifelist.   I only count fish caught by angling, meaning the fish are caught fairly with hook and line irregardless of species (even the minnows are caught hook and line).  The only gray areas would be the use of rope lures for Longnose Gar and a fish grabbing a bait (or another fish) without getting hooked but being landed due to the fish not letting go (both count as angling in my book) .  The images are usually picked as ones I like, whether the fish is impressive or not.  Some of the pictures aren’t very good, that just means I need to get out and take some better pictures…

For each species I’ve documented the following (just for personal interest):

  • Location – based on state (currently all have been caught in the USA)
  • Technique -broken down as the following
    • Fly – caught on fluff
    • Lure – caught on hardware
    • Bait – au naturel
    • Pole – caught on a pole, rather than a rod (reel-less angling)
    • Ice -pulled through a hole in the ice
