With quite a few Czech patterns floating around about a month back, especially from The Roughfisher and Singlebarbed, I decided to putz around with the idea a bit.

Here is one of my more successful attempts (at being lazy…)

A bunch of soldering wire, some olive Ice yarn, peacock glimmer chenille, 2lb ice line for ribbing and some random translucent green tape (no adhesive) that I found laying around.

Seems like a functional enough tie, lacks a dramatic color change but should work anyway

I'd fish that in a heartbeat.

How's that soldering wire for tying, just like the lead from the fly shop?

    Thanks!

As far as I can see, the solder wire is pretty much the same. You have to find the thinner stuff though, which can be tough.
